He left here late Saturday night and worked all day Sunday at the CGDC. He said that he has to work only another 3 hours to fulfill his requirements. FWIW, if you work at the convention, you can get in to see and do a whole lot for cheap! John did it last year and said it wasn't too bad. I think the worst part of it is having to wear the same kind of t-shirt for several days straight. At least that's what John complained about the most. But he also came home with tons of TOYS!
John isn't very impressed with San Jose. He said it is really run down but it has lots of sushi bars!
Monday was tutorial day. He spent it in a Java tutorial class. He's looking forward to Tuesday when the Expo floor opens. To quote John, "Everyone has beer, and not just the cheap stuff. Shiner Bock is now trendy! You would love it, Shelly!"
John ran into an old friend of ours who used to work for Expert. He is now the product acquisition guy for Canon and now lives in California (Expert is/was located in Coral Gables, FL). Small world!
