I hate Canadians... with their beady little eyes and their flapping heads!

only one way to find out...

call ''em, then call ''em again, and then call ''em again, and then...

I don't know what these people are talking about, but there are literally hundreds of indie game developer companies in Toronto.

Here is a link to an article:

That being said, here is a list to get you started:

DreamCatcher, Magitech, Pseudo Interactive Inc, Global Star Software, Microforum International, Bedlam Games, Groove Media, Rune Entertainment, Transgaming Technologies, Koei Canada Inc, Capybara Games, Social Game Univers, Time Play Entertainment, Alt.Software Inc

I think Ubisoft and Rockstar have studios in Toronto as well.
It seems a lot can happen in TEN F*CK*NG YEARS.

I didnt notice the time stamp until the last post. Its nice to know the general attitude of the internet hasn't changed in ten years though.
Wow, it's funny I didn't check the origianal time stamp and ( as I live in Toronto ) I was going to jump in do it's defense, as in the last few years a number of studios have opened up in Toronto. Previously Toronto was mecca for 3D graphics. Basically everything except 3D studio Max was made either in Toronto ( Alias ( Maya/PowerAnimator ) , Side FX ( Houdini ) ) or Montreal ( Softimage/Avid ), but games were pretty much lacking. Montreal had literal boom, with Ubisoft opening up there, followed by some incredible tax breaks ( like, 10 years tax free! tax breaks ) lead to EA and others opening up there. Toronto's rise was a bit slower, but Digital Extremes opened an office here, as did Rockstar and a few others.

In those 10 years though, Autodesk bought @#$@#$ing everybody, so I am not sure how much CG work is still here in Toronto. I imagine quite a bit, as after California and BC, it is probably the biggest film location in the world. Just down the road from me on Lakeshore are about 5 km of just movie lots.
I'm moving this to Breaking In, because I assume Voytek asked because he wants to apply to Toronto developers.

Voytek, use gamedevmap and gameindustrymap to look up Toronto developers. And I have more sites where you can research companies -- see my Game Biz Links page.

There was a lot of flaming and such in this thread. If it doesn't stay civil, it'll be closed.

If Voytek still hasn't found a video game company in Toronto then he's doing something wrong.

Me, neither.
It's not nice to necro ancient threads (speaking to whomever did that).
Closed.
