I just started VB 6.0 like a month ago, and I got some of the basics down about general programming. I want to make games now, and I read an article on this site about were to start. I have absolutely no knowledge about game programming, directX7, or anything worth anything. The article said to make clones of simple games. How do I learn how to program the simple elements that make up these games? (tetris...pong...) Any direction would be helpfull.

Start playing with the search engines. After reading your post I went to www.yahoo.com and tried "visual basic pong directx"... I got 342 hits. Just some highlights (I was skimming, I''m a Dx8, MSVC++ person myself)
http://www.vbgames.co.uk/
http://www.mrdo.com/1.html "VBPong is a full-featured, traditional game of Pong ... Source code is included and it is free."

The list goes on and on...
Another one with examples right here... just go to your favorite search engine, and ask it. You''ll be surprised what you come accross.
