Jobs for psychology in games?

So,

If you really think about it, it's kinda odd that psychology is not of greater interest in this field.

We are developing technology that effects people on a myriad of levels, on a small and mass scale.

Am I missing something?

Or is this a gap in the industry that can be explored?

Are there jobs in the industry that use people with psychology degrees?

I've seen User Research, that tries to understand and motivate the user.

There's Human Resources, focused on the employees of the organization.

But aside from that, I'm not quite sure where else psychology degrees are used?

EVERY role can benefit from knowing some psychology. It should be required for all degrees, in my opinion.

I would guess that every big company uses some sort of consultation services to help design and advertise products. But I highly doubt that general psychology degree is really of any use. It's very specialized field, that is rarely talked about, since lets say it - it can and is used to influence, manipulate and addict people…
