Hey Everyone! My name is Chris, I am a part of a group called Reim Entertainment. We are looking for new members to join our team as we are entering the next phase of development! Here is a little bit about our project, team culture, and the open positions we have.

Overview

Team Name: Reim Entertainment
Game: Anzen: Echoes of War
Genre: hack-n-slash ARPG
Platform: PC
Game Engine: Unity
Current Team Size: 7

The Game

We are currently developing a fast-paced hack-n-slash ARPG, with fluid combat, rich lore, and a competitive focus called Anzen. In the game you can expect a classless system, limit breakers, masteries, sweet loot and more! There is a three-act campaign with a competitive PvP (Arena) and PvE (Endless Dungeon) end game mode at launch. The competitive game modes will have ranked ladders to climb and see if you can make it to the top of the leaderboards at the end of each season!

Story Synopsis

A Dark force rises, threating the six nations of Aylin. The ancient power of the Echoes of War may be your only hope of stopping it. Discover what it means to be a Guardian and grow in power to oppose this new enemy.

Tools We Use

All tools are provided to team member

Confluence: Wiki that contains the game design, programming, story and pretty much everything about the game.

  • Individuals are required to keep information they are responsible for updated in the wiki as well as adding new information that supports their work.

Jira: Project Management Software

  • We all update our tasks in Jira to track and update the progress of work.

GitHub and GitHub Desktop: version control tools

Microsoft Office: Productivity software

  • We would provide you a Microsoft 365 license if you did not already have one

Microsoft Teams: Communication and collaboration tool

  • We post our work in progress to get feedback, easy access to pinned channel files, links to meeting recordings and other video content.
  • All work is stored within MS Teams for versioning and backups

Working as A Team

Our team prides itself on being able to take criticism and feedback on their work without taking offense or taking things personally. We all believe that the decisions we make are all about what is best for the game. The team evaluates features and ideas in the context of “will this make the game better”.

Together we share knowledge and build each other up so we can become better at what we do and grow as individuals.

We are all working in our spare time on the project in addition to our day jobs. Right now, we offer equity in the company, future rev-share, and the potential to work full-time on the project in the future.

Every Saturday we have a team meeting where we do our planning and play testing.

Each team member works about 10 hours a week on the project.
