Let's talk game localization!
Is game localization something you consider important?

Vast Void (which we talked about here: https://morgondag.io/blogs/morgondag/hey-what-is-vast-void) will be released in English. And we're currently looking at translating the game to other languages as well. But is game localization something you consider important?

We created a poll in this week's blog post; go and and vote and let us know your thoughts:

It is a business decision more than anything.

Is the cost and effort of localization, plus the costs of doing business in the countries whose languages you support, going to be offset by enough sales to be worthwhile?  Extra sales around the globe sounds nice, but that also means extra marketing around the globe. Many gameplay elements that work well in one location may not work, may have difficulty being translated, or may be unpopular in other regions.

If the business analysis says localization benefits will be worth the costs, then do it.  If it is not worth it, don't do it.
