Marketplace like Fiverr for indie game developers

I'm thinking about creating a marketplace like Fiverr for indie game developers. As an indie developer myself I know I've struggled to find good work at an affordable price for simple one off jobs. For example create weapon models for $20 a piece, or do voice over for $10 per 100 words.

What do you guys think? Is it a good idea? Is it something you would use?

Note that this forum already has a marketplace over at https://gamedev.market/, and there's a bunch of others out there like https://www.gamedevmarket.net/https://itch.io/game-assetshttp://www.supergameasset.com/https://www.gamedeveloperstudio.com/https://www.scirra.com/store, etc...

Making one that was completely based around commissions might be a new idea though! I personally haven't seen that yet. You'll have to implement all the usual freelancer site details though, such as holding funds in escrow, having dispute resolution services, in-site messaging between clients and freelancers, etc..

There's another site, https://www.gamedevmentors.com/, which has recently launched for a similar niche -- finding other developers to give you one on one mentoring. This hasn't been up for very long though so I'm not sure if it's going to be successful or not. IMHO they're one thing right, which is picking one particular niche (mentoring) and making their site 100% about that niche. For a freelancer/commissions site to stand out from the big list of asset stores (above), you should really focus on this differentiating point.

Yes, there are a lot of asset marketplaces out there.  I haven't seen any good market places for commission only.  I guess I'm looking to create a marketplace where you hire indie devs with the usual freelance site features you listed.  I don't think following fiverrs model exactly is right, but I think there could be a model that more suits the game industry.  I guess it would be similar to unity connect which is in beta right now.
