I''ve added an updated .exe zip file the previously released Chapter 12 and 17 demos on the Programming Role-Playing Games with DirectX 8.0 book web site. The problem addresses some issues with flickering on Geforce series cards. Also, I''ve added two screenshots of two engines from the book - one that uses 2-D pre-rendered backgrounds with 3-D models (ala Final Fantasy 7-10) and the other being the multiplayer demo (styled like Phantasy Star Online).
