It ran just fine for me, and I'm using a Cyrix. (233 64m ram, Diamond monster fusion)

Genesis is a cool engine but it works slow in 640x480 video mode on a computer without acceleration... I have P200 with S3 Virge 4Mb video card with 2d acceleration.
Is there any software render options?
If I remember my Genesis correctly it's not supposed to work well on S3 chips. That's probably why it appears slow to you. Get a real 3d card and try it out again.

Hi,
I downloaded Genesis3D and tested the demo, but I wondered why it's that slow. The demo was created to run well on a P233 MMX with a second generation 3d-accelerator. I often heard it would be fast, but as I see this demo, I can't say this.

I've got a P233 MMX with 64 MB RAM and a Elsa Victory Erazor (4 MB, Riva 128 chipset) ... so this shouldn't be the problem ... I've got the most actual drivers, ...
