Help with Shareware

I am very new to the world of shareware and to be honest I don''t have a clue. I am planning on releasing my latest project, Puz of which there is a quick demo on my website (http://www.opticalrealities.co.uk) I know that the quality has to be improved quite a lot, but my main concern is how exactly I am going to sell it. I have had a few offers recently in regards to companies that will take on my products and sell them for a fee or percentage. I was wondering if you could recommend any that are good to use and won''t try to scam every independant developer out there... Thanks for your time, Philip Lutas

If you are going to market it yourself, there are a number of companies that can handle payment processing for you.

I''ve used these for several years now without problems:
Kagi http://www.kagi.com
DigiBuy http://www.digibuy.com

I''ve also used this one, but only to cover an option and I haven''t seen much traffic from it:
RegNow http://www.regnow.com

In general, if you contract with a company to handle payment processing (including refunds), you''ll give up from 10%-15% of the purchase price.

Thanks, one of the ones I was looking at was www.element5.com I think.

It costs me $2.95 + 4% and since I only plan on selling for $10.00 and I''ve got a gfx artist to pay, I only end up with about $5/6 - oh well thats life I guess...
