Here''s an idea if you''re wanting to add scripting ability into your games. Micro$oft makes what they call the Scripting Control, which is an ActiveX control that they provide royalty-free. Of course this only will work if you''re doing a Windows game, but you get some fiendishly badass functionality from it with very little effort. Basically, you can pass actual VBScript code into the control as a string, and then call on the control to execute that code whenever you like. The other half of the equation, where the real power lies, is that you can give references to your own objects (the ones that make up your game) to the control, so that the scripts can modify your objects'' properties and invoke their methods. Bingo, you can now give the user a textbox or whatever and let them write their own code which can interface with your app seamlessly. Pretty damn sweet.
