Try my game Star Havoc. It''s an overhead space combat game with massive particle effects. It''s not all that technically advanced, but I think it''s fun. Get it at http://squiresoft.web.com/. Please criticize it. I''d like to know what people think. I''m interested if anyone would play it longer than 15 days if there wasn''t a registration blocker. I''d rather get a fan base than a few bucks. What do you think?

Tried it. I liked that you had many ships to choose from. When I was on the level with asteroids and a frieghter (level 2 or 3?) it was too difficult for me!

I personally don''t like controlling the thrust with my mouse. Overall, I think it was fun!

Cool game, but it tends to mess with my video hardware. Diamond Viper v770 a la TnT 2 if you''re interested, running Windows 98.

There''s a choice of mouse control options in the options menu. you can make it thrust with the keyboard but still turn with the mouse.

Dang video card problems... they always get you...
Good job, I''m envious

I like the graphics and the particle effects, well designed menus too
The game was working fine for a bit, but then it crashed. I have really crappy sound & video cards, though. Here''s the error:

Was this really done with DJGPP + Allegro ??? (or VC++ and allegro)... It is simply great! I have to consider about registering

There is only one thing: The pallete is pretty dark... actually too dark in my opinion. You should add feature to change brightness.

That brightness thing is the wierdest request i''ve had so far.

Actually, it''s in allegro truecolor mode, so i can''t do much to help it.

When I do the DirectX version (which will be whenever they give software rotation support in directdraw, or whenever i redo SH in Direct3d) then I''ll be able to do that gamma-adjustment thing.
Star Havoc looks cool ... but your Hero fo Hire game looks awesome man, good work!
